There is nowhere else in the Canary Islands with so many enormous sand dunes and long sandy beaches, (more than one hundred and fifty) and even though most of the land consists of stone and rock, Fuerteventura offers some of the most impressive beaches in the whole of Europe. This island is generally regarded as the oldest of all the Canary Islands and its strange contours come from various volcanic episodes. It is the least populated and most tranquil island and is ideal for a restful and relaxing holiday. Every year hundreds of surfers, windsurfers, divers and deep sea fishermen descend on Fuerteventura. There are a wide variety of activities including a golf course to occupy your days.
