Tuscany, Italy: Rustic Slow Food

When travel dreams take people to Italy, Tuscany is often their first stop. There’s something almost seductively charming about this region and its rustic good living. Today we’ll experience two classic examples of “la dolce vita” (the sweet life): joining an early-morning truffle hunt through an oak forest, and tasting the bounty of a small-town artichoke festival. Travel Germany: Berlin Wall East Side Gallery and the Reichstag Building

This is day two exploring East Berlin, chech out day one if you haven’t already. As we come into Warschauer Straße the first thing that we see is Oberbaumbrücke, a bridge connecting East and West Berlin. During WWII the middle of the Oberbaumbrücke was blown up to stop the Red Army from crossing, and since its rebuild it has become the symbol of Berlin’s reunification! Following this, only a few feet away is the East Side Gallery. It is the largest, longest lasting open air gallery in the world. It is a series of over 100 paintings on a section of the original Berlin Wall. This is after its the 2000 restoration from erosion and vandalism. From here you will see Alexanderplatz and the Infamous TV tower, and Berlin Wall memorial. Then we finally take you back to the Brandenburg Gate as we are on our way to the Reichstag Building to visit the Bundestag (German Parliament). Enjoy! All music written, produced, and recorded by my wife: Intro & Outro: So Very Mainstream (slow remix) www.mikseri.net Berlin Wall Music: Revelation www.mikseri.net

Travel Germany: Stadtfest 2010: Exploring Gay Berlin

Today we decided to go and explore the Gay sector of Berlin, Nollendorfplatz. It was such an amazing coincidence that we did because June 12 and 13 is the annual Lesbian and Gay festival Stadtfest 2010. This was the 18th lesbian and gay festival Berlin has thrown, and it was an amazing time! Plan your trip around when the event is going on, it is so worth it. Be aware that Gay Pride week in Berlin begins the 18th of June, so if you are looking for a big gay trip these are the dates to focus on! This is part two of a set on Gay Berlin. Link to the first at the beginning of this video. This time I show you the festival, run into some crazy people, get picked up in a bar by a gay man (who procedes to drag me to the dance floor) a special treat for you (to laugh at me), and then we procede to explore the area long after the festial is over into the early morning. I hope you enjoy! All music written, produced, and recorded by my wife: Intro & Outro:So Very Mainstream (slow remix) www.mikseri.net
