Carcassonne is the best preserved castle in France. French travelers can visit and even stay within the wall of the medieval Carcassonne Cité, in the second half of the 19th century Romans in the 1st century BC Carcassonne has been occupied by the Visigoths in the 5th century, Charlemagne and Dame Carcas, in the 8th century, the Albigensians in the 13th century. Carcassonne is a fantasy vacation and a must see for those who love medieval castles.

Carcassonne, is an hour and a half or so from Toulouse. This town has one of the most beautiful castles in southern France and the most beautiful medieval city I’ve visited. During the visit along the majestic dimensions of the castle and the cobbled streets of the town, you can stop in some small square and travel to the Medieval age. The town has a spectacular night lighting.

I Recommend that you visit a couple of towns in southern France. The first is Toulouse, a  university town of great importance and where the aeronautics industry is very relevant because famous aircraft company Airbus headquarters is located there.

It is a perfect town to spend a few days and go out to dinner and drinks, especially with good weather people out to the terraces in the afternoon and there is a great and friendly atmosphere. The Capitol Square is beatiful and some Thurdays, the terrace-pubs celebrate great parties where you can have a drink served by good looking waiters and waitresses. If you like seafood you can go to dinner to “Beaux Arts”, is beside the river in the street “quai de la Daurade,” . Their salmon is delicious and also is the hot apple pie with lemon ice cream. You will repeat.

The good thing about having some French restaurants, for women, is that they have letters to the menus without prices, because it is assumed that the man has to pay the bill. “Le caves de la Marechale” is another excellent restaurant and Is located in a cave, as its name suggests. They have excellent food and nice waiters.
